ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
  1. No purchase is necessary.
  2. Contest is void where prohibited by law. Subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations.
  3. Enter as often as you like but only one entry may qualify as a winner. One winner per household.
  4. Each entry must be mailed in a separate envelope with the recipe category printed on the outside, or submit each recipe online at www.goldkist.com/submit.asp as separate entries.
  5. Mail entries to “2007 Winning Taste Recipe Contest®”, P.O. Box 179, Clarkston, GA 30021-9863.
  6. Entries must be postmarked no later than April 30, 2007 and received by May 6, 2007, or received online no later than 12 midnight EST on April 30, 2007.
  7. Entries will not be acknowledged or returned. Gold Kist Inc. will not be responsible for mutilated or misdirected mail or non-delivered entries.
  8. All entries become property of Gold Kist Inc. Entry constitutes permission to edit, modify, publish and otherwise use the recipe in any way without compensation.
RECIPE REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Recipes must be entered in one of five categories:
    A) Appetizer/Snack
    B) Main Dish/Entree
    C) Light Eating
    D) Grilling
    E) Quick & Easy.
  2. Recipe must be original. An original recipe is the product of one's own mind and is not a copy or imitation. If the recipe is derived from a previously published one, it must have at least four significant ingredients that are different and the method of preparation changed to qualify. Submission of recipe denotes entrants' verification of recipe originality.
  3. Recipe must not have been submitted to another contest, promotional event, or for publication at any time.
  4. Recipe must use fresh chicken and serve a minimum of four persons.
  5. Recipe must be typed or legibly printed on an 8 1/2 x 11 inch paper or entered online (click here) and list ingredients in order of use and in exact, standard U.S. measurements.
  6. RRecipe must include: category, name of recipe, number of servings, your name, address, and daytime telephone number.

ELIGIBILITY:

  1. Contest open to continental U.S. residents age 18 or older.
  2. Professionals (such as chefs, home economists, anyone who has received career/professional/graduate culinary training or anyone who develops/creates recipes and/or food products for profit), previous Grand Prize Winners of this contest, directors and employees of Gold Kist Inc., its affiliated companies, contest sponsors, their agencies and families are not eligible.

JUDGING:

  1. Recipes will be judged on taste, originality, ease of preparation and appearance.
  2. Winning recipes will be selected by an independent judging committee of food professionals. Judges' decisions are final.
  3. Judges will disqualify recipes, which to their knowledge are previously published recipes or previous national recipe winners.
  4. Judges will select a first, second, third, fourth, and fifth place winner and one grand prize winner, "Judges Favorite". Winning recipes may be from any category.
  5. Winners will be selected on or about the June 1, 2007 and notified by telephone. Letter of verification will follow in 10 days. Winners will be required to execute an affidavit of eligibility and release of liability.

PRIZES:

  1. Prizes are non-transferable, may not be redeemed for cash, and must be redeemed in 2007. No substitution of prizes is allowed. Gold Kist Inc. reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal value or provide cash equivalent.
  2. Applicable federal, state and local taxes on prizes are the sole responsibility of the winners.
