Grilled Chicken Margherita Sandwich

Pilgrim's Chefs turn the chicken sandwich into a Taste of Italy with this recipe, which features fresh tomato, fresh mozzarella, and fresh basil.
Ingredients:
  • 1 roll Italian Roll, split, warm & crisp
  • 1/3 cup Shredded Lettuce
  • 2 slices Tomato
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • 1.5 tablespoons Italian Dressing
  • 1 Chicken Breast (seasoned w/lemon pepper & Grilled to a golden brown w/an internal temperature of 165 degrees)
  • 2 slices Fresh Mozzarella
  • 3 leaves Fresh Basil, torn
Directions:
  1. Open spit roll and cover the bottom portion of the bun with the shredded lettuce.
  2. Arrange the sliced tomatoes on the lettuce & season with salt & Pepper then drizzle w/ the Italian dressing.
  3. Place the grilled chicken on the tomatoes.
  4. Arrange the slices of mozzarella on the chicken breast.
  5. Top the mozzarella w/ the torn basil leaves
  6. Serve
